DEC214B - Product, Material, and Simulation – the Critical Path to Product Engineering Success

Session Description

We all understand the importance of bringing together the right data, information, and tools to deliver product engineering success. Two aspects of this challenge are critical for every engineering enterprise – materials and simulation. Companies need to integrate the right property data and related information into their product definitions. And, with simulation becoming more pervasive, there is also a need to remove the barriers between simulation technologies and the wider set of engineering design tools. The acquisition of Granta Design by ANSYS in February has brought together leaders in materials & simulation, and thanks to strong partnerships with PTC, we can demonstrate exciting possibilities for taking a unified approach to materials, simulation and product design. In this talk, we’ll review some typical design and development workflows and show how to enable effective design and simulation through integrated corporate material intelligence and powerful simulations.
